The Empire State Building Observatory

Where: 350 Fifth Avenue, from 33rd to 34th Streets

When: The Observatory is open 365 days a year, from 9:30 am to midnight. Last elevator goes up at 11:15pm.

What: Built in 1931, the Empire State Building is not only a National Historic Landmark, it's the enduring symbol of New York City. From the Observatory, nearly a quarter of a mile above Manhattan's teeming streets, you can see it all: from river to river, from the Bronx to the Battery, from sunrise to sunset.
